The discussion will follow a structured approach, walking through your life and then the professional roles you have held, with most of the time being spent on your most recent roles. We will focus on a number of topics including:
Getting to know you as a person and early influences on your career
Your professional successes in each of your different roles
The work you did to achieve those successes
Lessons learned and feedback you received from colleagues across your roles
The end of the discussion will focus on your career goals looking forward.

Pendra Group – Informed Consent
Overview of Review: You have been asked to participate in a discussion about your career (“a Review”) with Pendra Group, LLC and/or its representatives and affiliates (“Pendra”). The Review will consist of a discussion with a consultant about your life and career history. The discussion will follow a structured approach and will focus on your successes as well as places you may have made mistakes or had lessons learned throughout your life and career. We will be collecting information about your job history, personal experiences, personality, and aptitude, among other things. In addition to this career review, you may be asked to take additional online tests and/or questionnaires (such as psychometrics, 360 feedback or reference feedback), which will be sent to you separately. There is no formal preparation required for this discussion and if you have any questions about the process prior to or following the career review please reach out to your Pendra consultant.
Purpose: The purpose of this review is to provide the organization requesting the review with information to support HR decision making and professional development.
Informed consent: By participating in a Review, you understand that any information you provide to us, you are providing voluntarily. Also, you understand that any information you provide to us or that our client requesting this Review provides to us, whether or not such information contains your personally identifiable information (“PII”), will be handled by us as follows:
We will hold your PII in confidence and will not disclose it other than as set forth below.
We will share the results of the Review with the client and we may disclose some or all of the information you provide us, potentially including your PII, to the client requesting this Review. This client is permitted to use such information in connection with its internal business purposes and to comply with applicable law. This client is bound by confidentiality obligations with respect to such information; however, we are unable to guaranty that they will comply with such obligations. Any hiring or other human resources decisions that are made by this client based on the information you provide to us are this client’s sole responsibility.
We may process the information you provide for analysis and we may use anonymously held (identifying information removed) or aggregated data that we receive while conducting the Review, whether or not such aggregated and anonymized data was originally derived from PII, for our business purposes. We may also license such data to third-party partners. Any such aggregate and anonymous data and any materials based thereon is our property.
We may use third party service providers in connection with the operations of our business, including internet service providers, email providers, cloud storage providers, and data room and document management providers and we may transmit or store your PII using such providers. While we use industry-standard practices to maintain security, no data transmissions over the internet or electronic data storage can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As such, we cannot guarantee the security of any PII or other information you provide us and you understand and agree that any information you provide us you do so at its own risk.
We may share your PII with our authorized employees and third-party representatives who have a need to know such information either in connection with conducting the Review, our general business purposes, or to comply with applicable law. These employees and representatives will be bound by confidentiality obligations with respect to your PII at least as strong as our obligations; however, we are unable to guaranty that they will comply with such obligations.
Pendra may transfer your data to the organization requesting the Review and/or to our representatives and affiliates in the United States. The United States does not have the same laws to protect your data as the states in the United Kingdom or the European Union. However, Pendra is committed to protecting the confidentiality of your data.
The distribution of Review results is the sole responsibility of the client requesting the review. You are not guaranteed access to the results. With the permission of the client requesting the Review, Pendra will provide verbal developmental feedback to you based on the Review.
You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. You can do so by contacting Pendra by email at chris.nichols@Pendra group.com or otherwise in writing.
We do not conduct: (i) a full background check, (ii) any criminal background check, or (iii) any mental health review, in our Review.We may record the audio and video of any interview and we may transcribe such recordings. We may also use information you provide us in a resume or use any publicly available information (including a LinkedIn profile) to understand the jobs you have had and structure the Review discussion.
Consent: By consenting to participate in your Review, you acknowledge that you have read and understand the foregoing and agree to its contents, you represent to us that you have the legal capacity to give this informed consent, and you acknowledge that you are participating in your Review freely and that you have had the opportunity to consult with your outside advisors and legal counsel. If you choose to withdraw your consent at any time, Pendra is not liable for any impact this may have on your relationship, job status or application status with the client requesting the review.

As both a practitioner and “system builder”, Danie has developed and delivered best practice approaches in human capital due diligence; assessment, selection, and development of top talent; and operationalizing the value creation plan through smart talent strategy. She has assessed hundreds of C-Suite executives during pre-close human capital due diligence and partners with investment teams and portfolio companies around the world post-close.
Prior to Pendra, Danie was a Principal and founding member of the Portfolio Talent team at The Carlyle Group. Prior to Carlyle, she worked with leadership teams on their most pressing strategic priorities at Boston Consulting Group and Goldman Sachs. She earned her MBA from New York University Stern School of Business and BA from Tufts University

Mary Winn Miller is an experienced leadership consultant, talent operator and assessor. She partners with Private Equity investors, boards, and management teams to accelerate business performance through: executive interviewing, leadership development, top team effectiveness, organizational dynamics, and culture building. Mary Winn’s approach relies on her prior operational experiences as both a C-suite strategy leader and a talent operator. She also incorporates her experience from being in-house on the executive leadership team at a Fortune 500 global bank and a scale-up startup.
Prior to her work with Pendra, Mary Winn was a Senior Principal at ghSMART where she built global experience working with leaders and investors across North America, Europe, and Asia. Mary Winn also previously led talent operations at a high-growth agricultural company, Indigo, where she implemented large-scale talent growth and development initiatives and helped the business scale from 150 to 1000+ employees.
Earlier in her career she led strategy efforts for the alternatives business at State Street (a Fortune 500 bank), was a consultant at McKinsey & Company, and was a product leader at a human capital technology company, where she was a co-inventor of multiple technology patents related to skills assessment.
Mary Winn holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. She is based in London.

Chris is an experienced leadership consultant, P&L owner and strategist. He is a founding partner of Pendra and works with Private Equity firms, portfolio companies and executives to support value creation through the optimization of talent and organizational health. Leveraging his experience as an operating executive and P&L owner, he brings a practical results focused approach to leadership development. An experienced assessor, leadership advisor and coach, he has conducted 1,000+ executive assessments and coached numerous leaders working on their own professional development, including CEO-onboarding, CEO coaching, navigating board dynamics, and helping leaders build on their own strengths
Chris was previously a Partner at ghSMART where he co-led the firm’s Organizational Effectiveness practice and regularly advised senior executives across Private Equity, large Fortune 500 corporations and Hedge funds on executive assessment, coaching, CEO Succession and Organizational Effectiveness. Chris was previously the President of Ancos, a Private Equity owned company in the polymer industry, where he drove meaningful growth while investing in the re-building of the leadership team. Earlier in his career he led strategy efforts at WestRock, a Fortune 500 paper and packaging company and was a consultant at McKinsey & Company

Chris brings deep expertise in strategy and talent development to his role as a founding partner of Pendra. Previously, Chris was Head of Portfolio Talent at Madison Dearborn Partners, a private equity firm that has raised over $26 billion in capital since its inception in 1992. He continues to serve as an operating executive for the firm.
Prior to Pendra and MDP, Chris was a partner at ghSMART, advising investors, CEOs, and boards on critical talent issues including CEO succession, talent assessment, and team effectiveness. He also was Vice President of Operations at Tallwave, a leading venture-backed accelerator based in Scottsdale, Arizona. Before Tallwave, Chris was a consultant with McKinsey & Company. Earlier in his career, Chris worked in Washington, DC in law and public policy.
Chris holds a JD from the University of Chicago Law School and a BA in Political Science from Brigham Young University. He currently serves as an independent director on the boards of Money Gram and Great Gray Trust Company.
